Thirty-year-old professional Sunada is a commercial agency director in Tokyo. However, despite what others may think, she is unhappy with her job, career trajectory and marriage to a guy who loves her. One day, her eccentric friend Kiyoura shows up and shakes up Sunada’s routine. Together, they head back to their hometown, the countryside that Sunada hates. Somehow, Kiyoura’s bubbly cheerfulness makes Sunada’s “uncool” family more tolerable and something starts to change inside Sunada as she starts reminiscing about her childhood.
